intellijel/dixie-2-plus
Dixie²+
A fully analogue triangle-core oscillator capable of generating five different waveforms plus a square wave sub-oscillator, operable in VCO or LFO mode with dual FM inputs, hard sync, flip sync, octave switch, and pulse width modulation.964
Capabilities 6
- Hard Synchard-sync
- Hard sync input resets oscillator to 0 V, ideal for percussive sounds or modulation.964
- LFOlfo
- In LFO mode, cycles from several minutes in length up to around 1 kHz.964
- Oscillatoroscillator
- 964
- Pulse Width Modulationpulse-width-modulation
- Pulse width controllable via knob (10%–90%) and CV input (±5V), summed together.964
- Sub-Oscillatorsub-oscillator
- Dedicated sub output producing a 50% duty cycle square wave one octave below the primary oscillator.964
- Voltage-Controlled Oscillatorvco
- Operates at audio rates from 20 Hz up to almost 60 kHz in VCO mode.964

| Name | Signal | Voltage | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inputs (5) | |||
| 1V/OCT | cv | — | Primary pitch voltage control input following the 1V/octave standard.964 |
| FLIP | trigger | — | Flip sync input: similar to hard sync but instead of resetting to zero, it flips the direction of the oscillator's travel.964 |
| FM1 | cv | — | Linear or exponential frequency modulation input; mode selected by the LIN/EXP switch. Has a dedicated attenuator.964 |
| FM2 | cv | — | Exponential frequency modulation input.964 |
| PWM | cv | -5V to 5V | Pulse width modulation CV input, summed with the PULSE WIDTH knob. Range is ±5V; combined with knob, the pulse width can reach 0% or 100% (at which point no wave is produced).964 |
| Outputs (6) | |||
| PULSE | audio | — | Pulse wave output whose duty cycle is set by a combination of the PULSE WIDTH knob and PWM CV input.964 |
| SAW | audio | — | Sawtooth wave output.964 |
| SINE | audio | — | Sine wave output.964 |
| SUB | audio | — | Sub-oscillator output producing a 50% duty cycle square wave one octave below the primary oscillator frequency.964 |
| TRIANGLE | audio | — | Triangle wave output.964 |
| ZIGZAG | audio | — | 964 |
Parameters 6
| Name | Type | Range | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
| FINE | knob | -6semitone – 6semitone | In VCO mode, provides fine frequency adjustment of approximately ±6 semitones. In LFO mode, its range expands dramatically to approximately ±7 octaves.964 |
| FM1 Attenuator | menu_setting | — | Attenuates the FM1 input signal before it is applied to frequency modulation.964 |
| OCTAVE | switch | ≤8octave | An 8-position switch for coarse tuning; each position shifts the frequency by one octave. In LFO mode with FINE turned up, the oscillator may hit the upper limits of the LFO range at higher octave settings.964 |
| PULSE WIDTH | knob | 10% – 90% | Sets the base pulse width of the PULSE output, from 10% (fully CCW) to 90% (fully CW) duty cycle; 12 o'clock produces a 50% square wave. Summed with the PWM CV input.964 Zones
|
| PWM Attenuator | menu_setting | — | Attenuates the PWM CV input before it is summed with the PULSE WIDTH knob.964 |
| VCO/LFO | switch | — | Toggles the module between VCO mode (audio rate, 20 Hz to ~60 kHz) and LFO mode (several minutes to ~1 kHz).964 |
