Privacy
Eurorack Reference is a free, public service with no accounts and no login.
We collect as little as possible, never anything that identifies you, and we
do not sell or share data. This page explains exactly what is and isn't
collected.
What the MCP server logs
When your AI assistant calls a tool, we record anonymous operational data:
the tool name, a sanitized form of the arguments (search text is reduced to
a short prefix and a length, never stored in full), a one-way hashed session
identifier (derived from the value your client sends, not the raw value),
timing, and whether the call succeeded. We use this to find gaps in the
corpus and improve the service.
We do not require or store accounts, names, email addresses, or any personal
identifiers. Your IP address is used only momentarily for rate-limiting and
abuse prevention and is not stored alongside the query logs.
Website analytics
eurorackref.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and
collects only aggregate, non-identifying data (page views, referrers, and
performance metrics). It does not track you across other sites, and it sets
no cookies.
Cookies
We set no tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare, our infrastructure
provider, may set strictly-necessary cookies for security and abuse
prevention.
Infrastructure and third parties
The site and MCP server run entirely on Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, the D1
database, and Web Analytics). Cloudflare processes requests on our behalf
under its own privacy terms. We use no other third-party trackers or
advertising networks.
Corpus content
The data we serve is built from publicly-available manufacturer manuals and
product pages, with provenance tracked per fact and a link back to the
source. Manufacturers who want their content removed or attributed
differently can reach us via
