Ampla Versio
An ADSR-controlled stereo VCA and resonant multimode-filter gate with a bypassable stereo chorus, running on the Versio DSP platform. The Blend control fades between a pure VCA and a VCA/filter combo similar to a traditional lowpass gate, with selectable lowpass, bandpass, and highpass filter modes. The ADSR envelope is fully voltage-controllable with a dynamic curve shaping control.1071
Capabilities 7
- Choruschorus
- A stereo bypassable chorus added on top of the VCA/filter path, switchable between off, some, and max via the 0/I/II switch.1071
- Envelope Generatorenvelope-generator
- A fully voltage-controllable ADSR envelope with dynamic curve shaping drives both the VCA and optionally the filter gate.1071
- Lowpass Gatelowpass-gate
- When Blend is fully clockwise, the VCA/filter combo behaves similarly to a traditional lowpass gate with selectable LP, BP, or HP filter character.1071
- Multimode Filtermultimode-filter
- A resonant multimode filter gate offers lowpass, bandpass, and highpass settings selectable via the LP/BP/HP switch.1071
- Stereo Processorstereo-processor
- Runs on the Versio stereo DSP platform; processes stereo audio in and out with L input normalled to R when R is unpatched.1071
- Vcfvcf
- 1071
- Voltage-Controlled Amplifiervca
- Blend at fully CCW provides a pure VCA signal path; at all Blend positions the ADSR envelope controls amplitude.1071
Jacks 5 (3 in / 2 out)
| Name | Signal | Voltage | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inputs (3) | |||
| Gate | gate | ≥2V | Gate input that triggers the ADSR envelope; the button on the panel acts as a manual gate when no cable is patched.1071 |
| In L | audio | ≤16V | Left audio input; normalled to both channels when In R is unpatched.1071 |
| In R | audio | ≤16V | Right audio input; when unpatched, the left input is normalled to both channels.1071 |
| Outputs (2) | |||
| Out L | audio | — | 1071 |
| Out R | audio | — | 1071 |
Parameters 10
| Name | Type | Range | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0/I/II | switch | — | Three-position switch controlling the stereo chorus: position 0 is off, I adds some chorus, II applies maximum chorus.1071 |
| A | knob | — | Sets the attack time of the ADSR envelope.1071 |
| Blend | knob | — | Fades between a pure VCA signal path and a VCA/filter combo that behaves like a traditional lowpass gate. Fully counterclockwise is pure VCA; fully clockwise engages the filter gate.1071 |
| Curve | knob | — | Shapes the curvature of the ADSR envelope stages from logarithmic through linear to exponential.1071 |
| D | knob | — | Sets the decay time of the ADSR envelope.1071 |
| Gate | button | — | The panel button acts as a manual gate, triggering the ADSR envelope when pressed; this supplements the Gate CV jack input.1071 |
| LP/BP/HP | switch | — | Selects the filter response type of the multimode filter gate: lowpass, bandpass, or highpass.1071 |
| R | knob | — | Sets the release time of the ADSR envelope.1071 |
| Res | knob | — | Sets the resonance of the multimode filter gate.1071 |
| S | knob | — | Sets the sustain level of the ADSR envelope.1071 |
