Triple Sloth

NonLinearCircuits

NonLinearCircuits (NLC) Triple Sloth is an 8HP Eurorack module containing three independent Sloth chaos circuits running at very different rates — Torpor, Apathy, and Inertia — generating slow chaotic CV signals from strange attractor circuits. It provides nine chaos outputs (X, Y, Z per circuit) plus a Difference Rectifier with positive and negative outputs.1003

Capabilities 3

LFOlfo
Chaos circuits produce very slow cyclic-like outputs (15 seconds to 40 minutes per cycle) suitable as ultra-slow LFO sources.1003
Random CV Generatorrandom-cv-generator
Three independent chaos circuits (Torpor, Apathy, Inertia) generate chaotic CV signals by traversing strange attractors at very slow rates, producing unpredictable but smooth modulation voltages.1003
Random Sourcerandom-source

NameSignalVoltageDescription
Inputs (2)
Apathy CVcvCV input for the Apathy chaos circuit; may be injected onto the chaotic signal, potentially causing windows of periodicity or voltage jumps.1003
Torpor CVcvCV input for the Torpor chaos circuit; may be injected onto the chaotic signal, potentially causing windows of periodicity or voltage jumps.1003
Outputs (11)
Apathy Xcv-5V to 5V1003
Apathy Ycv-5V to 5V1003
Apathy Zcv-5V to 5VZ output for Apathy; inverted version of the Y output.1003
Difference Rectifier +cvPositive output of the Difference Rectifier; outputs VApathy + VInertia - VTorpor when that value is greater than 0, otherwise 0.1003
Difference Rectifier -cvNegative output of the Difference Rectifier; outputs VApathy + VInertia - VTorpor when that value is less than 0, otherwise 0.1003
Inertia Xcv-5V to 5V1003
Inertia Ycv-5V to 5V1003
Inertia Zcv-5V to 5VZ output for Inertia; inverted version of the Y output.1003
Torpor Xcv-5V to 5V1003
Torpor Ycv-5V to 5V1003
Torpor Zcv-5V to 5VZ output for Torpor; inverted version of the Y output.1003

Parameters 2

NameTypeRangeBehavior
Apathy PotknobDoes not alter frequency; instead weights the output so the signal spends more time travelling around one strange attractor rather than the other.1003
Torpor PotknobDoes not alter frequency; instead weights the output so the signal spends more time travelling around one strange attractor rather than the other.1003
